<lb n="0581c14" ed="T"/>息又無父母，守孤抱窮無所恃怙。婆羅門
<lb n="0581c15" ed="T"/>法，若不如意，便生自燒身。諸婆羅門時時共
<lb n="0581c16" ed="T"/>往到提違所，敎化之曰：『今身之厄，莫不由汝
<lb n="0581c17" ed="T"/>前身罪<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0581033" n="0581033"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0581033" n="0581033"/><anchor xml:id="beg0581033" n="0581033"/>故<anchor xml:id="end0581033"/>。何謂爲罪？不敬奉事諸婆羅門，又
<lb n="0581c18" ed="T"/>不孝順父母、夫婿，復無慈心養育兒子；有是
<lb n="0581c19" ed="T"/>罪故，致令今身抱孤守厄。汝今若不修福滅
<lb n="0581c20" ed="T"/>罪，後世轉劇墮地獄中，當爾之時悔無所
<lb n="0581c21" ed="T"/>及。』</p>
<lb n="0581c22" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0581c2201">「提違問曰：『當作何福，得滅罪耶？』婆羅門曰：『滅
<lb n="0581c23" ed="T"/>罪二種：其罪輕者，手自髠頭香湯洗浴，入天
<lb n="0581c24" ed="T"/>廟中，懺悔辭謝那羅延天，請婆羅門足一百
<lb n="0581c25" ed="T"/>人，施設飮食；設飮食已，以乳牛百頭從犢子
<lb n="0581c26" ed="T"/>者嚫婆羅門，然後罪滅。所以者何？諸婆羅
<lb n="0581c27" ed="T"/>門修淨梵行，不食酒肉五辛葱蒜，唯仰牛乳
<lb n="0581c28" ed="T"/>以爲食資，令施主檀越滅罪生福，世世所生
<lb n="0581c29" ed="T"/>所願從心。汝今罪重，應以家中一切所有諸
<pb n="0582a" ed="T" xml:id="T17.0754.0582a"/>
<lb n="0582a01" ed="T"/>珍寶物，布施五百大婆羅門；諸婆羅門得布
<lb n="0582a02" ed="T"/>施已，當爲呪願，令汝後生常得大富。欲滅
<lb n="0582a03" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582001" n="0582001"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582001" n="0582001"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582001" n="0582001"/>罪<anchor xml:id="end0582001"/>者，於恒水邊積薪自燒，諸婆羅門當復

<lb n="0582a05" ed="T"/>盡，後世更生無復餘殃，父母兄弟夫婿兒子
<lb n="0582a06" ed="T"/>壽命無量、快樂無極。』於是提違便許可之，決
<lb n="0582a07" ed="T"/>定開心，當自燒身。便勅家奴將十乘車入山
<lb n="0582a08" ed="T"/>伐樵，規以自燒。</p>

<lb n="0582a13" ed="T"/>爲？』提違答言：『欲自燒身滅除殃罪。』辯才答曰：

<lb n="0582a15" ed="T"/>安能滅罪？夫人禍福隨心而起，心念善故受
<lb n="0582a16" ed="T"/>報亦善，心念惡故受惡果報，心念苦樂受報
<lb n="0582a17" ed="T"/>亦爾。如人餓死則作餓鬼，苦惱死者受苦惱
<lb n="0582a18" ed="T"/>報，歡喜死者受歡喜報，安隱快樂，果報亦
<lb n="0582a19" ed="T"/>爾。汝今云何於苦惱中，求欲滅罪、望善報
<lb n="0582a20" ed="T"/>也？幸可不須，於理不通。</p>
<lb n="0582a21" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0582a2101">「『復次提違，如困病人爲苦所逼，若有惡人來
<lb n="0582a22" ed="T"/>至其所，呵罵病人、以手摶耳。於意云何？爾時
<lb n="0582a23" ed="T"/>病人，寧有善心，無忿惱不？』提違答言：『其人困
<lb n="0582a24" ed="T"/>病，未見人時常懷忿惱，況被摶耳而當無

<lb n="0582b02" ed="T"/>中，地獄苦惱尤轉增劇百千萬倍，求免甚
<lb n="0582b03" ed="T"/>難，況欲燒身求離苦也。復次提違！譬如車牛
<lb n="0582b04" ed="T"/>厭患車故欲使車壞，前車若壞續得後車
<lb n="0582b05" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582010" n="0582010"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582010" n="0582010"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582010" n="0582010"/>扼<anchor xml:id="end0582010"/>其項領，罪未畢故。人亦如是，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_add_0582b0501" n="0582b0501"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582b0501" n="0582b0501"/>縱<anchor xml:id="end0582b0501"/>令燒壞
<lb n="0582b06" ed="T"/>百千萬身，罪業因緣相續不滅。如阿鼻獄燒
<lb n="0582b07" ed="T"/>諸罪人，一日之中八萬過死、八萬更生，過一
<lb n="0582b08" ed="T"/>劫已其罪方畢。況復汝今，一過燒身欲求滅
<lb n="0582b09" ed="T"/>罪，何有得理？』</p>
<lb n="0582b10" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0582b1001">「爾時辯才種種因緣爲說正法，提違女人心
<lb n="0582b11" ed="T"/>開意解，改志易操燒身意息，白辯才言：『當設
<lb n="0582b12" ed="T"/>何<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582011" n="0582011"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582011" n="0582011"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582011" n="0582011"/>意<anchor xml:id="end0582011"/>，令得滅罪？』辯才答言：『前心作惡如雲
<lb n="0582b13" ed="T"/>覆月，後心起善如炬消闇。汝今幸有欲滅罪
<lb n="0582b14" ed="T"/>意，自有方便，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582012" n="0582012"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582012" n="0582012"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582012" n="0582012"/>我<anchor xml:id="end0582012"/>能令汝不費一錢，乃至不

<lb n="0582b16" ed="T"/>善願從心。』</p><p xml:id="pT17p0582b1605" cb:place="inline">「提違聞已心大歡喜，憂怖卽除，如
<lb n="0582b17" ed="T"/>重罪囚蒙赦欲出，卽起修敬，禮拜問訊，卽勅
<lb n="0582b18" ed="T"/>婢使，爲敷高座，<g ref="#CB01071">𣰽</g><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582013" n="0582013"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582013" n="0582013"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582013" n="0582013"/>毺<anchor xml:id="end0582013"/><g ref="#CB01069">㲩</g><g ref="#CB01070">𣰆</g>，錦繡綩綖，嚴
<lb n="0582b19" ed="T"/>飾第一，散花燒香，勸請辯才令登高座。辯才
<lb n="0582b20" ed="T"/>受請，卽昇高座。提違女人卽率家內奴婢眷
<lb n="0582b21" ed="T"/>屬五百餘人，圍繞辯才，叩頭恭敬，合掌而
<lb n="0582b22" ed="T"/>立。</p>
<lb n="0582b23" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0582b2301">「提違女人白辯才言：『尊向所說滅罪事由，雖
<lb n="0582b24" ed="T"/>懷欣慶，猶有微疑。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582014" n="0582014"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582014" n="0582014"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582014" n="0582014"/>惟<anchor xml:id="end0582014"/>願爲說除罪之法，當
<lb n="0582b25" ed="T"/>如法行。』辯才答曰：『起罪之由，出身口意，身業
<lb n="0582b26" ed="T"/>不善，殺、盜、邪婬；口業不善，妄言、兩舌、惡口、綺
<lb n="0582b27" ed="T"/>語；意業不善，嫉妬、瞋恚、憍慢邪見；是爲十惡，
<lb n="0582b28" ed="T"/>受惡果報。今當一心丹誠懺悔，若於過去、若
<lb n="0582b29" ed="T"/>於今身有如是罪，今悉懺悔，出罪滅罪。當自
<pb n="0582c" ed="T" xml:id="T17.0754.0582c"/>
<lb n="0582c01" ed="T"/>立誓，從今已往不敢復犯。幷爲我等先人父
<lb n="0582c02" ed="T"/>母夫婿兄弟，所有過罪，我今一心代其懺悔。
<lb n="0582c03" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582015" n="0582015"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582015" n="0582015"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582015" n="0582015"/>我<anchor xml:id="end0582015"/>弟子提違，以今懺悔、改惡修善福德因
<lb n="0582c04" ed="T"/>緣，施與一切受苦衆生，令其得樂。衆生有罪，
<lb n="0582c05" ed="T"/>我當代受。復立誓言，緣我今日改邪就正、悔
<lb n="0582c06" ed="T"/>罪<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582016" n="0582016"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582016" n="0582016"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582016" n="0582016"/>修<anchor xml:id="end0582016"/>福，從是因緣，捨身受身至成佛道，常
<lb n="0582c07" ed="T"/>遭明師、遇善知識，壽無量命，常與父母夫婿
<lb n="0582c08" ed="T"/>兒子六親眷屬常相保守，不經苦患，莫如
<lb n="0582c09" ed="T"/>今也。』於是辯才吿提違言：『悔過滅罪法皆如
<lb n="0582c10" ed="T"/>是。』</p>
<lb n="0582c11" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0582c1101">「於是提違及其眷屬，於辯才前長跪合掌，白
<lb n="0582c12" ed="T"/>辯才言：『弟子之徒奉尊敎誨，如法懺已，願尊
<lb n="0582c13" ed="T"/>更賜餘善法敎，當勤奉行，增本功德。』辯才吿
<lb n="0582c14" ed="T"/>曰：『今當誠心歸佛、歸法、歸比丘僧，如是三說；
<lb n="0582c15" ed="T"/>今當盡形受十善道。「我弟子某甲，從今盡形，
<lb n="0582c16" ed="T"/>不殺、不盜、不邪婬，是身善業；不妄言、兩舌，不
<lb n="0582c17" ed="T"/>惡口、綺語，是口善業；不嫉妬、瞋恚、憍慢邪見，
<lb n="0582c18" ed="T"/>是意善業。」是則名爲十善戒法。』</p><p xml:id="pT17p0582c1813" cb:place="inline">「爾時辯才，敎

<lb n="0582c21" ed="T"/>珍<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0582018" n="0582018"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0582018" n="0582018"/><anchor xml:id="beg0582018" n="0582018"/>寶<anchor xml:id="end0582018"/>，長跪叉手白辯才言：『願尊留神，垂愍
<lb n="0582c22" ed="T"/>敎化。今當爲尊造立宮室，隨所便宜，終身奉
<lb n="0582c23" ed="T"/>事。』辯才答曰：『汝今以能捨邪就正、淨修十善，
<lb n="0582c24" ed="T"/>爲正法子；復以十善敎化天下，則爲已報師
<lb n="0582c25" ed="T"/>徒重恩。汝已得度，我不宜留。吾今復當往化
<lb n="0582c26" ed="T"/>餘處。』</p>

<lb n="0583a05" ed="T"/>以十善<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583002" n="0583002"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583002" n="0583002"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583002" n="0583002"/>法<anchor xml:id="end0583002"/>展轉相化，經於多時。爾時國中，

<lb n="0583a07" ed="T"/>不修學問經書義理，又不專行持戒精進，世
<lb n="0583a08" ed="T"/>人輕慢不供養之，貧窮困苦無復生理。五人

<lb n="0583a13" ed="T"/>食，雲集供養；於是五人飽足有餘。爾時提
<lb n="0583a14" ed="T"/>違聞是事已，遣人訪覓，信還報曰：『有五聖

<lb n="0583a22" ed="T"/><l>臨顧貧舍，</l><l>展釋微誠。</l><l>唯願慈哀，</l>
<lb n="0583a23" ed="T"/><l>濟度群生。</l><l>弟子亦有，</l><l>淸淨園林，</l>
<lb n="0583a24" ed="T"/><l>流泉浴池，</l><l>嚴飾光榮。』</l></lg>

<lb n="0583a27" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0583a2701">「提違歡喜，辭還家中，卽遣使人莊嚴寶車，迎
<lb n="0583a28" ed="T"/>五比丘還家供養。提違女人有好園林，去舍

<lb n="0583b05" ed="T"/>不失時節。時五比丘，旣被主人恩厚供養，安
<lb n="0583b06" ed="T"/>隱快樂而自慶言：『何<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583011" n="0583011"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583011" n="0583011"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583011" n="0583011"/>忽<anchor xml:id="end0583011"/>如之？夫人生世，種
<lb n="0583b07" ed="T"/>種方宜，求覓財利以救貧乏，雖得如意，不如
<lb n="0583b08" ed="T"/>我等，都不勞身而食福祿，此豈不由智慧力
<lb n="0583b09" ed="T"/>乎？』其五比丘察見主人慇懃意重，而共議言：
<lb n="0583b10" ed="T"/>『雖得主人隨宜供給，日富歲貧不能濟人歲
<lb n="0583b11" ed="T"/>寒富樂，我等今宜更施方便求覓錢財，充爲
<lb n="0583b12" ed="T"/>後時受五欲樂。』作是論已，更相易代，差遣一
<lb n="0583b13" ed="T"/>人遊諸聚落，宣語諸人唱如是言：『彼四比
<lb n="0583b14" ed="T"/>丘，閑居寂靜，護持禁戒，斷絕酒肉，不食葱
<lb n="0583b15" ed="T"/>蒜，稱於梵行，修禪止觀，證無漏業，不久修行
<lb n="0583b16" ed="T"/>成阿羅漢，則爲天下無上福田。』衆人聞已，齎
<lb n="0583b17" ed="T"/>持種種錢財飮食，運集來詣恭敬供養，如是
<lb n="0583b18" ed="T"/>多年。</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583b1803" cb:place="inline">「提違女人直心敬信，隨宜供養，歡喜無
<lb n="0583b19" ed="T"/>厭。壽盡命終，生化樂天。其五比丘，專行巧
<lb n="0583b20" ed="T"/>僞，邪濁心故，福盡命終，生地獄中，八千億劫
<lb n="0583b21" ed="T"/>受大苦報。地獄罪畢，受餓鬼形、<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583012" n="0583012"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583012" n="0583012"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583012" n="0583012"/>魑<anchor xml:id="end0583012"/>魅魍魎，
<lb n="0583b22" ed="T"/>如是展轉，經八千劫。餓鬼罪畢，受六畜身，償
<lb n="0583b23" ed="T"/>其主人先世供養⸺業報因緣，或作駱駝驢騾
<lb n="0583b24" ed="T"/>牛馬，隨其主人所受福<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583013" n="0583013"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583013" n="0583013"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583013" n="0583013"/>處<anchor xml:id="end0583013"/>，常以筋力報償
<lb n="0583b25" ed="T"/>主人⸺如是展轉，復八千世。畜生罪畢，雖獲人
<lb n="0583b26" ed="T"/>身，諸根闇鈍，無男女根，名爲石女。自爾以
<lb n="0583b27" ed="T"/>來八千世中，常以筋力報償主人，於今不
<lb n="0583b28" ed="T"/>息。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583b2802" cb:place="inline">佛吿王曰：「爾時提違者，皇后是也。爾時辯
<lb n="0583b29" ed="T"/>才者，目連是也。時五比丘，卽今皇后隨從擔
<pb n="0583c" ed="T" xml:id="T17.0754.0583c"/>
<lb n="0583c01" ed="T"/>輿扇提羅等五人是也。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583c0110" cb:place="inline">王白佛言：「如世尊
<lb n="0583c02" ed="T"/>說，五人起因；今者唯見擔輿四人，其餘一人
<lb n="0583c03" ed="T"/>爲何所在？」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583c0305" cb:place="inline">佛吿王曰：「其一人者常在宮內，修
<lb n="0583c04" ed="T"/>治廁溷除糞者是。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583c0408" cb:place="inline">皇后聞已，肅然毛竪，心懷
<lb n="0583c05" ed="T"/>怖懼，更起禮佛，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583014" n="0583014"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583014" n="0583014"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583014" n="0583014"/>倚<anchor xml:id="end0583014"/>立合掌而白佛言：「如世
<lb n="0583c06" ed="T"/>尊說，扇提羅等是我前世因緣師者，實懷憂
<lb n="0583c07" ed="T"/>怖，恐犯逆罪。所以者何？夫人師者應修恭敬，
<lb n="0583c08" ed="T"/>頂戴禮拜是其宜也，而反使擔<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583015" n="0583015"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583015" n="0583015"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583015" n="0583015"/>車輿隨從<anchor xml:id="end0583015"/>不
<lb n="0583c09" ed="T"/>異牛馬，以是因緣，甚懷怖懼。願佛垂哀，聽我
<lb n="0583c10" ed="T"/>懺悔。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583c1003" cb:place="inline">佛吿之曰：「皇后福德，自無過罪，何故疑
<lb n="0583c11" ed="T"/>懼？衆生殊性，業行不同，善者受福、惡自受
<lb n="0583c12" ed="T"/>殃。皇后本時，直心淸淨信樂修福，福德因
<lb n="0583c13" ed="T"/>緣，自爾以來世世所生，常遭明師、信受敎
<lb n="0583c14" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583016" n="0583016"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583016" n="0583016"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583016" n="0583016"/>悔<anchor xml:id="end0583016"/>，從善入善、從祿入祿。至於今日，食福自
<lb n="0583c15" ed="T"/>然，値佛出世，前身福德，因緣力故。復聞正
<lb n="0583c16" ed="T"/>法，如說修行。以是因緣，無罪咎也。其扇提羅
<lb n="0583c17" ed="T"/>五人因緣，由其本時，邪濁侫諂、無有慈心，受
<lb n="0583c18" ed="T"/>汝供養，罪業因緣，償其宿債。」</p>
<lb n="0583c19" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0583c1901">皇后白曰：「今聞佛說本業因緣，弟子疑解，
<lb n="0583c20" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583017" n="0583017"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583017" n="0583017"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583017" n="0583017"/>更<anchor xml:id="end0583017"/>無憂懼也。此扇提羅，罪業果報何當畢
<lb n="0583c21" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583018" n="0583018"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583018" n="0583018"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583018" n="0583018"/>也<anchor xml:id="end0583018"/>？弟子今者放扇提羅，不敢驅使，隨意東
<lb n="0583c22" ed="T"/>西。唯願世尊，說法開悟，令其心解，改惡修
<lb n="0583c23" ed="T"/>善，速得免苦。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583c2306" cb:place="inline">佛吿之曰：「今欲令我開化其者，
<lb n="0583c24" ed="T"/>喚彼宮內除糞者來。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583c2409" cb:place="inline">皇后卽時遣使令喚扇
<lb n="0583c25" ed="T"/>提羅來。使者受命，須臾將來。扇提羅等五人
<lb n="0583c26" ed="T"/>聚集，於佛前立。世尊大慈，先以善言慰勞之
<lb n="0583c27" ed="T"/>曰：「汝等諸子，體氣康和，安隱快樂，無苦惱
<lb n="0583c28" ed="T"/>不？」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0583c2802" cb:place="inline">五人怒曰：「佛不知時。所以者何？晝夜勤
<lb n="0583c29" ed="T"/>苦，鞭<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0583019" n="0583019"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0583019" n="0583019"/><anchor xml:id="beg0583019" n="0583019"/>杖<anchor xml:id="end0583019"/>使役，不暇得息，有何樂哉？佛豈不

<lb n="0584a01" ed="T"/>知如是事乎，而反問人快樂以不？」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0584a0114" cb:place="inline">佛吿五人：
<lb n="0584a02" ed="T"/>「今身之苦，皆由前世邪濁諂曲，懷不善心，受
<lb n="0584a03" ed="T"/>人供養，罪業因緣，展轉所生，至於今身，償罪
<lb n="0584a04" ed="T"/>因緣，猶故未畢。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0584001" n="0584001"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0584001" n="0584001"/><anchor xml:id="beg0584001" n="0584001"/>汝<anchor xml:id="end0584001"/>若欲求<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0584002" n="0584002"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0584002" n="0584002"/><anchor xml:id="beg0584002" n="0584002"/>免<anchor xml:id="end0584002"/>惡果報者，今
<lb n="0584a05" ed="T"/>應至心丹誠悔過，改惡修善；從是因緣，可得
<lb n="0584a06" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="beg_22" type="star"/>免<anchor xml:id="end_22"/>苦。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0584a0603" cb:place="inline">扇提羅等聞佛語已，忿怒隆盛，反背
<lb n="0584a07" ed="T"/>向佛，不欲聽聞。佛以神力，令一化佛對其前
<lb n="0584a08" ed="T"/>立，方便慰喩，勸令懺悔。扇提羅等又反<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0584003" n="0584003"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0584003" n="0584003"/><anchor xml:id="beg0584003" n="0584003"/>面<anchor xml:id="end0584003"/>
<lb n="0584a09" ed="T"/>向東。復有化佛，對前而立。復反向西，復有化
<lb n="0584a10" ed="T"/>佛。四維上下，皆有佛對。扇提羅等見佛圍
<lb n="0584a11" ed="T"/>遶，五人卽時稱怨大喚而作是言：「我等今
<lb n="0584a12" ed="T"/>者是弊惡罪人，佛今何爲苦見逼耶？」爾時世
<lb n="0584a13" ed="T"/>尊還攝化佛，爲一佛身。</p>
<lb n="0584a14" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0584a1401">佛吿大衆：「國王、太后、諸比丘等，汝等見是扇
<lb n="0584a15" ed="T"/>提羅不？」咸言唯然。「汝等當知，衆生罪業，有二
<lb n="0584a16" ed="T"/>種障：一者業障，二者煩惱障。其罪輕者，有煩
<lb n="0584a17" ed="T"/>惱障；重罪業障。扇提羅等具有二障，重罪障
<lb n="0584a18" ed="T"/>故，不得受化，非可如何。」</p>
<lb n="0584a19" ed="T"/><p xml:id="pT17p0584a1901">爾時皇后見扇提羅不受佛化，哀感傷心，語
<lb n="0584a20" ed="T"/>五人曰：「自今以後，永解因緣，隨意東西，無憂
<lb n="0584a21" ed="T"/>快樂。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0584a2103" cb:place="inline">扇提羅等長跪涕淚，<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0584004" n="0584004"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0584004" n="0584004"/><anchor xml:id="beg0584004" n="0584004"/>白<anchor xml:id="end0584004"/>皇后言：「我等

<lb n="0584a25" ed="T"/>「弟子至意放扇提羅，不肯欲離，當如之何？」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0584a2517" cb:place="inline">佛
<lb n="0584a26" ed="T"/>吿之曰：「扇提羅等償債未畢，因緣繫縛不令
<lb n="0584a27" ed="T"/>得去，非可如何。且順其意，復其事業，償因緣
<lb n="0584a28" ed="T"/>畢自當得脫。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0584a2806" cb:place="inline">佛吿王<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0584006" n="0584006"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0584006" n="0584006"/><anchor xml:id="beg0584006" n="0584006"/>曰<anchor xml:id="end0584006"/>：「夫人修福，謙虛敬
<lb n="0584a29" ed="T"/>重，直心淸淨，行於道業，功德無量；火不能

<lb n="0584b01" ed="T"/>燒、水不能漂、偷劫盜賊不能得便、國王強
<lb n="0584b02" ed="T"/>力不能動轉。如今皇后受<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0584007" n="0584007"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0584007" n="0584007"/><anchor xml:id="beg0584007" n="0584007"/>天福<anchor xml:id="end0584007"/>也。人行惡
<lb n="0584b03" ed="T"/>心，貪現前利，如扇提羅，歷世受殃於今不
<lb n="0584b04" ed="T"/>息，雖<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0584008" n="0584008"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0584008" n="0584008"/><anchor xml:id="beg0584008" n="0584008"/>遇<anchor xml:id="end0584008"/>聖化如風過耳，罪業力故反生怨

<lb n="0584b07" ed="T"/>身難得，値佛時難，法難得聞，終壽亦難。汝等
<lb n="0584b08" ed="T"/>諸子，前身微善，得生人道，遇佛在世，聞法信
<lb n="0584b09" ed="T"/>受，割斷恩愛，離別父母兄弟妻子六親眷屬，
<lb n="0584b10" ed="T"/>出家爲道；如囚<anchor xml:id="beg_24" type="star"/>免<anchor xml:id="end_24"/>獄，應捨惡從善，中表相
<lb n="0584b11" ed="T"/>應，言行無異，少欲知足，不貪世榮，忍飢耐

<lb n="0584b19" ed="T"/>悔。惟願天尊，表察其誠。從今以往，誓不爲
<lb n="0584b20" ed="T"/>非，當如法行。願佛證知。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0584b2010" cb:place="inline">佛言：「諸子！三界聖
<lb n="0584b21" ed="T"/>尊、衆生之父，子今悔惡修善，甚是所欣，當隨

<lb n="0584b29" ed="T"/>行，如把刃持毒，不能堪者不如不爲。何以

<lb n="0584c01" ed="T"/>故？執持不勤，反爲害故。汝等今者，信於業

<lb n="0584c04" ed="T"/>度。」又吿比丘：「寧割身肉以用供口，不以邪
<lb n="0584c05" ed="T"/>心受人施也。甚難甚難！愼之愼之！」</p>

<lb n="0584c27" ed="T"/>過，謂是鬼魅，消費家財、橫殺生命祠祭鬼
<lb n="0584c28" ed="T"/>神欲求濟命，唐費功夫。腹中宿食遂成生
<lb n="0584c29" ed="T"/>風，生氣轉筋絞切心痛，因是死亡生地獄

<lb n="0585a04" ed="T"/>明師，修習智慧，悔惡罪業，改往修來。從是漸
<lb n="0585a05" ed="T"/>漸智慧成就，慧成就故消滅衆罪。如我前
<lb n="0585a06" ed="T"/>說日光威力能除衆冥，人修智慧亦復如
<lb n="0585a07" ed="T"/>是。緣汝先有善根因緣遭値我時，舍利弗等
<lb n="0585a08" ed="T"/>如彼明醫能濟苦患而得不死，子今何爲捨
<lb n="0585a09" ed="T"/>明入暗？」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0585a0904" cb:place="inline">沙彌羅睺白言：「世尊！諸佛智慧猶如

<lb n="0585a19" ed="T"/>善道法，因緣果報無有窮盡，長跪叉手白天
<lb n="0585a20" ed="T"/>尊曰：「佛昔令我受持五戒，今欲還捨受十善
<lb n="0585a21" ed="T"/>法。所以者何？五戒法中，酒戒難持，畏得罪

<lb n="0585a29" ed="T"/>漏，二者無漏。有漏善者，常受人天快樂果報；

<lb n="0585b01" ed="T"/>無漏善者，度生死苦涅槃果報。若人飮酒，不
<lb n="0585b02" ed="T"/>起惡業歡喜心故，不起煩惱；善心因緣，受善

<lb n="0585b04" ed="T"/>福。先持五戒，今受十善，功德倍勝十善報也。」

<lb n="0585b11" ed="T"/>答言：『王朝去時，不被命勅令將厨宰，卽時無
<lb n="0585b12" ed="T"/>食。』我聞是語已，走馬還宮，敎令索食。王家厨
<lb n="0585b13" ed="T"/>監名修迦羅。修迦羅言：『卽無現食，今方當
<lb n="0585b14" ed="T"/>作。』我時飢逼，忿不思惟，瞋怒迷荒，敎勅傍
<lb n="0585b15" ed="T"/>臣斬殺厨監。臣被王敎卽共議言：『簡括國中
<lb n="0585b16" ed="T"/>唯此一人忠良直事，今若殺者，更無有能爲

<lb n="0585b25" ed="T"/>意，卽遣黃門輒傳我命，令語外臣莫殺厨

<lb n="0585c01" ed="T"/>迦羅者，爲是之故悔恨愁耳。』夫人笑曰：『其人
<lb n="0585c02" ed="T"/>猶在，願王莫愁。』我重問曰：『爲實如是，爲戲言
<lb n="0585c03" ed="T"/>耶？』答言：『實在，非虛言也。』我令左右喚厨監來，
<lb n="0585c04" ed="T"/>使者往召須臾將來，我大歡喜，憂恨卽除。」</p>

<lb n="0586a29" ed="T"/>時不起惡念，不起惡念則是善心，善心因

<lb n="0586b05" ed="T"/>有世人，若男若女受形端正，男人好者爲女
<lb n="0586b06" ed="T"/>所愛，女人好者男情所樂。若有強力，制斷男
<lb n="0586b07" ed="T"/>女不令<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0586015" n="0586015"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0586015" n="0586015"/><anchor xml:id="beg0586015" n="0586015"/>會合<anchor xml:id="end0586015"/>，不得合故則致憂苦。此之殃

<lb n="0586c08" ed="T"/>未起之頃，斷三界漏、得羅漢道智慧之力。譬
<lb n="0586c09" ed="T"/>如調象隨鉤而轉。大王當知，夫習學者皆由
<lb n="0586c10" ed="T"/>禁制攝五情根，然後通達無所罣礙，名無礙
<lb n="0586c11" ed="T"/>智，無礙智者具四辯也。今富樓那具四辯
<lb n="0586c12" ed="T"/>才，皆由<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0586025" n="0586025"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0586025" n="0586025"/><anchor xml:id="beg0586025" n="0586025"/>慊<anchor xml:id="end0586025"/>苦勤學所得。是故我說，夫慧解

<lb n="0586c16" ed="T"/>王當知，<name role="" type="person">末利夫人</name>雖爲女身，高才智博非同
<lb n="0586c17" ed="T"/>凡人，皆由少來愼身口意，一心專念修習
<lb n="0586c18" ed="T"/>智慧。智慧力故名爲解脫，復以智慧解悟

<lb n="0586c26" ed="T"/><l>智則博解義，</l><l>見聞行法安。</l>

<lb n="0586c28" ed="T"/><l>善解甘露法，</l><l>從是得泥洹。</l>

<lb n="0587a16" ed="T"/>言之，求一切福德，皆應修學智慧方便。如我
<lb n="0587a17" ed="T"/>前說<name role="" type="person">阿逸多</name>王，勤苦習學智慧力故，雖復失
<lb n="0587a18" ed="T"/>行生惡趣中，常識宿命；識宿命故，改惡修善，
<lb n="0587a19" ed="T"/>速得解脫，感致諸天濟接供養，以智慧力爲
<lb n="0587a20" ed="T"/>諸天師。以是因緣，我說般若有四種義。」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0587a2016" cb:place="inline">爾時
<lb n="0587a21" ed="T"/>波斯匿王聞佛所說智慧方便功德因緣，甚
<lb n="0587a22" ed="T"/>大歡喜。太子祇陀、夫人、太后、群臣士民，一切
<lb n="0587a23" ed="T"/>大衆莫不解<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0587005" n="0587005"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0587005" n="0587005"/><anchor xml:id="beg0587005" n="0587005"/>悟<anchor xml:id="end0587005"/>，各各修敬爲佛作禮，復座

<lb n="0587a25" ed="T"/>種：一有漏善，二無漏善。有漏無漏，二義歸
<lb n="0587a26" ed="T"/>一，世尊！云何說差別耶？」</p><p xml:id="pT17p0587a2610" cb:place="inline">佛吿王曰：「人有二
<lb n="0587a27" ed="T"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0587006" n="0587006"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0587006" n="0587006"/><anchor xml:id="beg0587006" n="0587006"/>品<anchor xml:id="end0587006"/>：一者利根，二者鈍根。爲鈍根人，說二種
<lb n="0587a28" ed="T"/>善；利根之人，不說二也。所以者何？衆源
<lb n="0587a29" ed="T"/>泉流，終歸一海。鈍根之人諸根暗塞，是故爲

<lb n="0587b01" ed="T"/>說分別法耳。」</p>

<lb n="0587b05" ed="T"/>吿之曰：「妄語有二：一重、二輕。何謂爲重？若受
<lb n="0587b06" ed="T"/>戒人不修智慧，愚癡無智，不能敎化興隆佛
<lb n="0587b07" ed="T"/>法，爲是之故人所輕慢，不得供養貧窮困苦，
<lb n="0587b08" ed="T"/>爲供養故外現精進、內行邪濁，展轉相敎宣
<lb n="0587b09" ed="T"/>向諸人：『比丘苦行精進，得禪境界。』或言見佛、
<lb n="0587b10" ed="T"/>見龍、見鬼。如是之人名大妄語，犯是罪者墮
<lb n="0587b11" ed="T"/>阿鼻獄。又復妄語能令殺人破壞人家，復有
<lb n="0587b12" ed="T"/>妄語違失期契令他瞋恨，如是名爲下妄語
<lb n="0587b13" ed="T"/>也。行如是者名爲犯戒，墮小地獄。其餘調
<lb n="0587b14" ed="T"/>戲，及諸私理匿禁之事，或有言無、或<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0587008" n="0587008"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_mod_0587008" n="0587008"/><anchor xml:id="beg0587008" n="0587008"/>無<anchor xml:id="end0587008"/>言

<lb n="0587b29" ed="T"/>知，夫人修福不與罪合，不共合故要須方

<lb n="0588a18" ed="T"/>者，見諸比丘縱橫乞食無有晝夜、食無時
<lb n="0588a19" ed="T"/>節，爲諸外道之所譏責而作是言：『瞿曇沙門
<lb n="0588a20" ed="T"/>自言道精，何以不如外道法也？』是故節食，非
<lb n="0588a21" ed="T"/>於飢苦而求福也。以要言之，所制禁戒，正爲
<lb n="0588a22" ed="T"/>癡人無方便慧，非爲智人知時宜也。如我前
<lb n="0588a23" ed="T"/>說，般若智慧卽是解脫，智者所受，聖所行

<lb n="0588a27" ed="T"/>佛所說，疑網結解，猶如日光消除暗冥，得見
<lb n="0588a28" ed="T"/>大明。如此之功，其恩難報。諸弟子等，當以何
